Коллектив был сформирован в середине 2002 года тремя людьми из Австралии. Сейчас ихсчитают наиболее прогрессивной drum’n’bass командой нового тысячилетия, котораяпридумала свой sound и вывела drum’n’bass музыку на новый уровень в мировой музыкальной индустрии. Сингл Pendulum “Vault” стал одним из самых громких релизов 2003года, получив премию журнала “Knowledge Magazine” – “Best Single of 2003”.
C этого момета продвижением и продюсированием pendulum занялись одни изнаиболее влиятельных людей в drum’n’bass индустрии – Adam Fи Fresh (Bad Company). Новый sound Pendulum настолько привлек их внимание, что им было предложено присоединиться к только открывшемуся в то время, а ныне самому влиятельному лэйблу – Breakbeat Kaos.
Итогом стало появление суперсингла – Another Planet, а так же сингла Voyager. Летом 2005 года Pendulum выпускают альбом “Hold Your Colors”, трэки из которого сразу же сказываются на первых местах чартов. Появляется видео-клип на композицию “Slam”.
Сразу же после выхода альбома Pendulum выпускают сингл на XL Recordingsс ремиксом на Prodigy – Voodoo People, который играют сами prodigy на своих live выступления. Итогом этого становится съемки совместного клипа Pendulum &Prodigy на эту вещь, что несомненно является переходом drum’n’bass музыки на новой уровень в мировой музыкальной индустрии.219 tracks in playlist, average track length: 5:20
