Marcus Ramone Cooper (born December 27, 1984), better known by his stage name Pleasure P, is a contemporary R&B singer and former member of Pretty Ricky. His 2009 debut album, The Introduction Of Marcus Cooper, received 3 grammy nominations this year. It was mildly successful on the r&b charts but still generated two hit singles: «did you wrong» & «under.» Pleasure P toured extensively in 2009, attracting thousands of fans to his shows. He is elated about the grammy nominations but hasn't had the opportunity to celebrate in the wake of bizarre, malicious rumors that he is a sex offender.

When The Introduction of Marcus Cooper was released last summer, Pleasure P offered: «The reason I named it that is because (the group) Pretty Ricky introduced you all to Pleasure P, but now Pleasure P is going to introduce you to Marcus Cooper, the real me. I'm in my own lane musically, i'm grown up now. My songs express what average R&B guys don't talk about that average people can relate to.»

Apparently grammy voters can relate to Pleasure P as well; he's nominated for Best R&B song, album, and r&b male performance. «I'm stunned, ecstatic,» Cooper revealed in a recent interview. Looks like Pleasure P will have a very Merry Christmas and 25th birthday in a few weeks.

The 52nd Grammy Awards airs Sunday, January 31 on CBS.
