Luca Mundaca is one of the new voices of Brazilian music. She was born in Chile and moved with her family to Brazil at age of 6. Subsequently, in 1999, she moved to the United States in search of a record deal and a larger international audience.

Her first solo album, Day by Day, was released in 2004 on the independent Lumeni Productions Label. The best singles of this debut are: «Não se apavore» released in Putumayo's Women of the World Acoustic and «Há dias» released in Putumayo's Brazilian Lounge.
