UPDATE: Lady Lazarus has just released her first LP, Mantic, available in download and hard copy at http://ladylazarus.bandcamp.com.

Lady Lazarus is the solo project of musician, writer, and artist Melissa Ann Sweat. In May 2009, Melissa released her first EP, Home Recordings, and has been receiving some noteworthy local and national attention, including a 7/10 track review by Pitchfork of «The Eye in the Eye of the Storm,» off of Mantic LP. This past summer she embarked on a Western U.S. tour, the highlights of which were playing Left Coast Live, a week‑long music festival in her hometown of San Jose, with Yo La Tengo headlining, and playing an intimate show with A Hawk and a Hacksaw at Red Cell in Santa Fe.
