This 5 man progressive metal band from Greensboro, NC brings a unique sound to the table. Boasting a wide range of influences from metal bands such as Opeth, Iced Earth, and Dream Theater to more mainstream hard rock such as Avenged Sevenfold, Metallica, and Between the Buried and Me. They're sure to pleasse anyone from the newest Hard Rock recruit to the most experienced metalhead.

Hephystus began in early 2008 when drummer Troy Surratt and keyboardist Andrew Pollard began to play with vocalist Brandon Miller and bassist Jonathan Loftis. After only a few practices together they realized they had the talent to make it big in todays metal scene. After releasing a demo they were able to recruit local legend, guitarist Jamie King in the summer of 2008. Now fully ready to record an album they hit the studio. In late spring of 2009 the album was released worldwide. The self‑titled debut generated a good amount of buzz. They're following the album by an extensive U.S. tour.
