There is more than one band with the name Electra: Israeli rock band, German rock band, a band from Spain and a Russian band.

Electra is a Tel Aviv based rocknroll band, who injects adrenalin and charisma to the veins of the local scene. The band’s full album is due to be releaed in Israel on the 1st of July 2010, on Anova Records.
A Brief history: In the end of 2004, Electra had released its first mini‑LP Come Inside followed by an EP of remixes to the title song. Electra quickly received praises from both music critics and fans, with its energetic performances, and passionate apaeal. They went to tour in UK and Germany and the EP songs were signed to EMI Publishing. In 2006, the band had recorded Better Sound a single which was promoted with a video that became an instant hit on the Israeli TV music channel. Better Sound was Electra’s first work with producer Baruch Ben‑Yitzhak, of the band Rockfour, that will later produce the band’s full lengh album.
After a period of residency abroad, in 2010 the band signed to Israel’s leading alternative label Anova Records. The first single of the upcoming album, Coming to Get You! was released in March this year, and it is hard to be missed on Israeli radio these days. Electra’s Second double‑single of the upcoming album, “Dawn of Summer”, will follow shortly.
Like other power‑trio bands in the past, Electra can pour strong melodies and rich, full sound fuelled with a direct aproach, into the band’s pop songs. These songs are a colorful, stylish and unique mixture of influences, such as Rolling Stones and the garage‑rock area, Rockabilly grooves, 60’s soul, and hungry stage energies of bands like The Clash and Buzzcocks.

One of their best known tracks is Nie zuvor, a rather soft ballad. Some members of the band that had left returned later. The only member who was with electra since their founding is Bernd Aust.
