Dave Weiner is an electric guitarist. He is perhaps best known for playing rhythm guitar for Steve Vai's live concerts, often assigned the job of the «seven‑string guitarist» in Steve Vai's live band whom Vai calls «the Breed». Recently Weiner has had his first album released on Steve Vai's Favored Nations label, although the album is only six tracks long, it has generally been received well by the guitarist community, who are always looking for guitarists who not only play the guitar well, but with a new and individual style. It is highly anticipated by fans that Weiner will release more recordings in the future. In a recent show where he was the opener for Greg Howe, Dave announced his new recording should be released later this year.
