Calvin Russell (born Nov 1, 1948 in Austin, Texas), as the 6th of nine children, is an American roots rock singer‑songwriter and guitarist. At 12 he started to learn guitar and at 13 joined a band called The Cavemen. In 1989 he met P. Mathe of the French music‑label New Rose. After his first album was published, Calvin Russell started touring in Europe in 1990.
