Brisbane's Arrows formed in 2006 out of a common love of No Idea + Crank records bands often described by the three‑letter «E» curse word. But simply put, these are four friends playing music and having a blast along the way.

In amongst playing shows, the band swiftly recorded and self released their ‘Don’t Write Poetry’ CDep and toured the Australian east‑coast. Following it up with another self released record in late 2007, this time perking up ears around the world with the 12” vinyl split record with friends These Hands Could Separate The Sky and even more touring. After selling all 600+ copies of the 12” themselves in less then a year, Hobbledehoy Record Co re‑issued the long out‑of‑print split on CD format November 2008.

Along with the re‑issued split, Arrows released their debut album titled 'Modern Art & Politics'. It has been described as below:

Combining the intricate beauty of their first two records with bite, honesty, wry, and raw emotion, Arrows turn their most heartfelt songwriting to‑date. Packaged in a beautiful double‑gatefold digipak, the debut full length 'Modern Art & Politics ' is 10 tracks of gently wandering guitars, gorgeous twinkles and desperate vocals, culminating in an effect that is both majestic and wonderful.

«ten beautiful, wonderfully evocative and emotional tracks...» — Delusions of Adequacy
«8 out of 10» — Tsunami Mag
«4 out of 5» — For The Sound
