The affair started in the early 90's when the likes of the Prodigy & The Chemical Brothers were dominating the scene. Like most of his age, these were the people he listened to. It wasn't long before Akira Kayosa's attentions turned towards the new sound that was developing, this was the music known as Trance. It seemed every cd that was released wether it be Gatecrasher or the Clubbers guide albums, it was in the bag.

With the likes of Armin Van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Airwave, Flutlicht and Lange, all pioneering this new sound it wasn't long before the turntables had arrived and learning to mix began... Once leaving school in 2000 Akira emigrated to New Zealand to live with his father. Still being rather new to DJing, he potterd around the various vinyl houses in Auckland where he came across a local DJ that ran his own night and radio show (Pumpin), the two struck up an instant friendship and after a few lessons on the decks it wasn't long before he was playing at Pumpin and a regular down at the UpFM studio, all at the age of just 17.

Moving back to the UK in 2003, AK took up A‑Level Music Technology which lasted 2 years. From this the use of Steinberg's Cubase and such like programs gave him the basis to start sequencing dance tracks. 2005 saw the introduction of Proppellerheads' Reason, which within months changed the quality of the material Kayosa was producing. Still rewiring with Cubase, these two programs and various hardware synthesizers started Akira Kayosa's rise to fame.

With digital labels fast becoming part of the dance scene Akira Kayosa joined Will Watson in starting up Resonate, now known to be one of the finest digital records labels in the UK.

Resonate is soon to be entering it's third year and it has had an amazing journey since the start in December 2005. With regular support from Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Ferry Corsten, Above & Beyond and many other top names, you can expect only the highest quality in trance music from the young…читать далее ↓
