Oseeola

Oseeola is dedicated to doing things his way and thinking outside the box. Born Darvonne Jervann Mcghee and raised in the heart of the Detroit Rock City, Oseeola’s musical influences range based upon his parents likings; his father played records from artists like Sam Cooke, Tyrone Davis and Otis Redding, while his mother fed him the soulful gritty sounds of Motown Recording Artists. From there the foundation was laid for young Darvonne.

At the age of 10, Oseeola moved to Utica, MI and was exposed to different walks of life, which helped in shaping his character and becoming an individual. Being exposed to another life outside of the inner city of Detroit, broadened Oseeola’s horizons, which formed the unique balance in his personality.

By the age of 12, Oseeola’s travels brought him back to the city. At the same time he was searching for a platform to express his individuality and hip hop became just that. Oseeola needed an outlet and he found it in music!

Oseeola’s music is a combination of clever lyrics, catchy choruses and impeccable delivery. Much like his fashion style, Oseeola’s flow is like no other and his stage presence alone is intriguing. From the way he would change clothes in the middle of a set, to wearing chains around his neck (reminiscent of Slick Rick), Oseeola captures the attention of his audience and crowds enjoy him for his spontaneity and charisma.
