There are 3 bands with the name Loud.

Fran Franco (aka "Loud") was born in Madrid, 1972. His childhood years as a suburban middle class homosexual were only relieved by his love for music. He was seven when he got his first keyboard, upon which he started playing Abba and Boney M melodies by heart. After a few years of piano lessons, hearing Madonna´s “Burning Up” was enough to make him quit classical music in favor of pop/dance. He soon developed a love for black music of the eighties such as Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis productions.

After five years working for the Spanish concert promotion company Doctor Music, and work as the coordinator for the indie music festival “Benicassim", Fran, as «Loud,» recorded a three song demo (“Am I Misleading?”, “Silence” and “I´ll Be Whatever You Want Me To Be”). This demo got the attention of an employee of the Acuarela label. His girlfriend, music journalist Elena Cabrera, asked to include “Silence” on her small tape label's first compilation, Un Capricho Autoreverse. The Loud demo also got the interest of Tomás Fernando Flores, who played it on his morning show on National Radio 3.

Autoreverse Records soon released Loud´s “Upbeat Sadness” EP and a compilation album, “Songs For The Blue Times”. “Music to dance to and lyrics to slit your wrists to” is probably the best way it has been described. It is an EP in which Madonna, Pet Shop Boys, Depeche Mode, Joy Division and Edith Piaf come together.

Loud were also a British band led by Chris McLoughlin, who formally was a live guitarist with the band New Model Army. They released two albums, D Generation (1990) and Psyche 21 (1992), and a few EPs/CD‑singles in the early nineties. The first album was co‑produced by Jaz Coleman of Killing Joke. Notable singles include «D‑Generation», «Easy» and «Mary».…читать далее ↓
