Green Street is a hip‑hop/jazz group, consisting of emcees A‑live and Soupa and producer Renaissance. Originally from Boston, MA and now residing in Brooklyn, NY, they are always trying to push the boundaries of hip‑hop music. By using everything from samples to live instrumentation, Green Street brings back the sound from the Native Toungues‑era while still keeping it fresh and relevant for today’s audience.

Often compared to the likes of A Tribe Called Quest and The Roots, Green Street brings a positive energy with their music, fusing true school hip‑hop rhetoric with soulful jazzy backdrops. In 2006, they released their critically acclaimed independent album Livin’ On Green Street, and since then Green Street has gone on to collaborate with Oddisee, Tableek, The Black Sunn, 810, Nieve, and more.
